The following is an excerpt from an article that ran on Sunday, September 9 in the Daily Oklahoman newspaper about 1998 OC alumna, Ann (Petersen) Forrester:

After marrying her husband in 2001, Ann Forrester never planned on picking up a career.

"When Todd and I got married, he had said, ‘I really don't want you to work,'” she said.

Unless it was working for a network marketing company or direct sales, he wanted her home. After graduating from Oklahoma Christian University in 1998 with a degree in liberal studies, she didn't think much about it.

Looking back, Forrester refers to her husband's request as "a pride thing” and said part of it was just the idea about a husband providing for his wife.

Little did he know that plan wouldn't last long.

That same year, the couple moved to Tulsa, knowing only a handful of people. Todd Forrester started a second location of his family's Edmond-based construction business, and like the original plan, Ann Forrester stayed at home.

It wasn't until 2002 when she was introduced to a product that would change both her and her husband's lives.
