OC alumna, Amberly Frost (02), was recently featured in an article in the Norman Transcript about the business that she and her sister, Leslie North, founded this past June:

Not only has Leslie North uncovered a Norman subculture, she has added to its intensity.

North and her sister, Amberly Frost, are only two months into owning their own knitting store in downtown Norman, but have learned more about knitting -- and its followers -- than they ever imagined possible.

"There's a whole world of knitters and crotcheters out there," Frost said.

North and Frost, both from Norman, own and operate L--B Yarn Co., 425 W. Gray St., formerly called Yarn and Loops. Their store opened June 2 and the sisters have already formed a family-type bond with many customers.

Frost, who received a degree in interior design from Oklahoma Christian University in 2002, designed all the decor and refacing of the building. The 2,500-square-foot building received 14 new windows on the front of the store and a new brick facade.
