Business professor Kimberly Merritt’s research was selected as the 2010 distinguished paper by the Southwest Federation of Administrative Disciplines in March. Her paper was titled "Qualitative Investigation of Information System Success: Interviewing Data Warehouse Users.” Merritt teaches economics and business technology classes at Oklahoma Christian. She is a member of the International Association for Computer Information Systems, and the Federation of Business Disciplines. Also, the American Marketing Association has asked Oklahoma Christian students to give a presentation at the 32nd Annual International Collegiate Conference April 8-10. The students were chosen after receiving an award in 2009 for outstanding performance in membership growth. Oklahoma Christian’s chapter, which is in only its second year, beat out 134 chapters for this recognition. The students will give a brief overview of ways they worked to increase membership. "I am so proud of them, and I think this a great opportunity for the students,” said marketing professor Kerianne Roper, who also serves as the chapter’s advisor. The AMA is the largest marketing association in North America. It is a professional association for individuals and organizations involved in the practice, teaching and study of marketing worldwide. Members are connected to a network of experienced marketers over 30,000 strong and include leading marketing academics, researchers and practitioners from every industry.
