Disney music to highlight Valentine Cabaret

The Music Department at Oklahoma Christian University will present the 19th annual dinner theater production, Valentine Cabaret, with performances February 14 through the 16.

The Cabaret entitled "Bella Notte: A Night with the Music of Disney" will present a multifaceted look at decades of musical hits originating in Walt Disney movies and Broadway shows. Among the many selections to be performed are "Be Our Guest," "Circle of Life," "When You Wish Upon a Star," "Colors of the Wind," "Seize the Day," and "Someday My Prince Will Come."

The meal will be a served in the McIntosh Conservatory at 6 p.m. with the show following at 7:00 pm in the Recital Hall. Both facilities are housed in the Garvey Center on the Oklahoma Christian University campus at 2501 East Memorial Road, Oklahoma City.

Cast members include Rebekah Bruce, Sara Denton, Keith Ellingson, Spencer Goad, Christy Kessler, Courtney Knapp, Jed Lovejoy, Shiloh Martin, Morgan Nash, James Parker, Courtney Tarpley and Brandon Wheelock.

OC alum and Oklahoma Christian Academy faculty, Chad Anderson, will direct the production. OC Music Department staff, Eric Grigg, will provide accompaniment at the keyboard.

Tickets are available 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 425-5530, and from 4 to 6 p.m. at 425-5540. The ticket price for the dinner and show is $14. Ticket price for the show only is $7.

OC students with a valid ID may obtain one free "student rush" ticket for the 7:00 p.m. show beginning at 6:45 p.m. at the door while supply lasts.
