Memorials - Mike McDonald Endowment Details » Donate Online

Friends and admirers of Mike McDonald have established, and are funding, an endowed scholarship in honor of Mike.  In addition to being a 1971 graduate, Mike served Oklahoma Christian in several ways, including as the University’s Vice President for Alumni.

In 1992 Mike had an occurrence of cancer in his arm that was successfully removed.  In December 2002, Mike was diagnosed with cancer again.  Through the follow-up treatments and surgery, Mike and Kathy displayed remarkable faith and strength, and their examples inspired us all.  Mike passed from this earthly life in December 2003.  He has left a legacy that will remain with us always.

This scholarship is a tribute to and a celebration of Mike McDonald’s life and commitment to his family and OC.

Who is Eligible?
The McDonald Scholarship is for qualified students in good standing.

What is the Goal?
The McDonald Scholarship founders set $100,000 as their fundraising goal.  In 2007, the scholarship reached it's goal. A larger endowment can generate even greater scholarship support for students.
